Showering with one's socks on
Everyone talks about how horrible this is. I wanted to find out for myself so I gave it a try the other day. It's really not that bad. Honest.
This particular idea came from the lovely Shannon. So I put on my black business socks (because I mean business baby) and hopped in.
The first thing on my agenda in the shower is I lean over and shovel the warm water from the faucet onto my feet, because they usually get quite cold. With the socks on, all this water was absorbed and i experienced some unusual side effects:
- My feet were firmly planted - no slip-sliding around going on here. In this way, socks in the shower prevent injury.
- Second, the extra water weight in the socks made them function as if they were ankle weights. Some people shower - I shower and get my legs swoll at the same time. The multi-tasker.
- Third. The most important. Feet stayed comfortably warm for the duration.

I mentioned this to the lady who called me as one of your references. She didn't understand and I didn't attempt to explain it. Don't your socks get all soapy? Flight of the Conchords are sweet though.
