Showering with one's socks on

Everyone talks about how horrible this is. I wanted to find out for myself so I gave it a try the other day. It's really not that bad. Honest.

This particular idea came from the lovely Shannon. So I put on my black business socks (because I mean business baby) and hopped in.

The first thing on my agenda in the shower is I lean over and shovel the warm water from the faucet onto my feet, because they usually get quite cold. With the socks on, all this water was absorbed and i experienced some unusual side effects:
  1. My feet were firmly planted - no slip-sliding around going on here. In this way, socks in the shower prevent injury.
  2. Second, the extra water weight in the socks made them function as if they were ankle weights. Some people shower - I shower and get my legs swoll at the same time. The multi-tasker.
  3. Third. The most important. Feet stayed comfortably warm for the duration.
Drawbacks - when you're finished you have wet socks and what are ya gonna do with them? Can't flush 'em down the toilet...

I mentioned this to the lady who called me as one of your references. She didn't understand and I didn't attempt to explain it. Don't your socks get all soapy? Flight of the Conchords are sweet though.
