I watched with great joy as the Lewis & Clark Tigers demolished the Prairie Falcons to win the state 4A championship Saturday night. What a performance from the Lady Tigers. Once the first half ended, the outcome of the game was never in doubt.

What a team Jim Redmon assembled for the orange and black. A quick, heady point guard (Ren Mallory), an athletic defensive stopper to guard the other team's best player, a bona fide star in Heather Bowman, and plenty of contributors off the bench. Plus, Prairie had absolutely no answer for Redmon's niece, an athletic forward with a scorer's mentality.

We saw a perfect storm of the right players and the right coach - a state title well won. Congrats!
