Dream recap

I dreamed an episode of the old show The Pretender. I was watching in third person although I later became a part of the plot. It was a dream and I wrote this at about 3:45 a.m. the other night. Which is why it doesn't make any sense, grammatical or otherwise.

The main guy and his girlfriend are just chillin in their room and then for some reason they leave the room, during which time the guy’s sister comes in (on horseback) and posts a note on the refrigerator. I don’t remember what it said, but it was something like I miss you brother and then something ominous. They don’t know what to do, but the brother thinks it’s a bomb in the freezer.

They live in one of those big concrete structures like McCarty or a communist era tenement. So they have to get everyone out and they pull the fire alarm. In the meantime, the girlfriend of the main character pretends she is a foreigner (Spanish speaker) and tries to track down Mr. Walsh (who is somehow involved).

For the fire alarm, somehow they don’t go outside, they go in the basement. And so everyone is there and the girlfriend is talking with one of the college advisor while everyone else is milling around. The next time we look, the advisor is gone and there are 25 band-aids and some red paprika on the film projector. Then the film starts. (there is someone there to focus it – old-timey film projector.)

In it, the evil lady from pretender (that guy’s sister in this version) get’s on and says, “OK let me have it.” And another lady picks up a giant crystal football (like the NCF championship trophy) and hits her in the face with it, breaking her nose.

Even though the people can already tell the tone of the film in ominous, they chuckle a bit...cause that was funny.

Then the lady goes on to tell her evil plan. There are some lockers shaped like coffins and out of the first one, the advisor pops out. She is all bloody and dead and says “victim no. 1”.

I turn around and ask who the main guy in pretender is. His girlfriend says a name but I don’t understand it and am too shy to clarify what it was, so I just say – wow, his sister’s a bitch.

The door closes and the next one pops out and says “issue no. 1” followed by a couple more. It becomes clear that the plan of the evil sister is to launch a college magazine that profiles everyone she has just killed.

The next locker is an average-looking girl who says “there are no decent men out there.” Then an average-looking guy pops out of the next locker and says he doesn’t think that’s true. Then the divider in between the lockers disappears and they are forced together naked. The guy protests, saying that being locked naked in a locker isn’t the best way to meet someone, but his cries are muffled out.

Then it looks like the two will hit it off and when they are about to have sex, a whole bunch of ice cold water drenches them. For some reason they are on a dock in a lake at this point. Then they are forced back in the locker and you get the sense that this happens for eternity. This is more shocking to me than the dead people.

So by then, the whole room is filled with water (from the fire alarm sprinklers) and there is a panic. Everyone tries to get out and some people start to drown. Me and the pretender start to save them. I save one asian girl and she is so happy to have been saved. She hugs me a lot and I get the feeling she’s into me.
