Prague
Prague is a beatiful city with a long and storied past. It really came into its own in the 14th century under Charles IV (ruled 1346-78), who built the Charles bridge (it was feared that it would wash away during the catastrophic floods of 2002 but did not, which is good, because now all the English people have a place to gather) and founded the Charles university.

After reformer Jan Hus was burned at the stake in 1415, some angry locals threw Catholic officials out the windows of New Town Hall (now Old Town Hall), which is the origin of the word "defenestration", which literally means "to throw out a window." (further defenestrations led to the 30 years war (1618-1648) which saw a quarter of the Bohemian population perish.)
It also has the best nightlife in Eastern Europe and I visited the largest nightclub in Eastern Europe, which was filled with tourists. Also missed a couple walking tours, looked at old buildings, went to a classical music concert, and altogether behaved myself much more than I thought I would.
In summary, Prague is beautiful, but it is also spoiled by tourism. It's a shame that for the past 100 years, it was spoiled by WWI, the Depression, then the double dip of Nazism and Communism. and now thanks to EasyJet, obnoxious English people have taken over the city. Don't know which is worse.
Keep ya head up, Prague.
