recap of last five days

Friday I went to musuem night - when all the museums in basel are open to the public. it was free for me since I am under age 25. Basel calls itself the "city of culture" and has about 40 museums. and none of them welcome Jager...

Sat. I went to Lorrach - a small town in Germany to do some shopping and got a couple things (including this shirt-jacket combo that I am really excited about. It will fulfill the same purpose as lucky red - it is the Bobby Jones shirt - it's the "glue guy" in my wardrobe.)

(note: this Bobby Jones from the ABA. www.remembertheaba.com)

and also had dinner. The italian food here is just...blah. I mean you can't say it is bad - it is competent. it just doesn't get over the hump into deliciousness. Like the seahawks. now that you mention it, most food over here lacks character, except for my tacos, which are Ah-MAY-ZING.

Sunday I went to the zoo with Ida, made tacos and watched a double feature of "Best in Show" and "Vision Quest."

Here are a couple random thoughts.

The lady who answers the phone at the US embassy in Berne is a real ****.

You know when people are playing video games on TV? How unrealistic it looks? I think the director is like - "really get into it guys - lean with your bodies, press as many buttons as possible. Sell it! SELL IT!!" Well on the O.C., they really get the video game playing right. Another reason why it may be the best show on Swiss TV right now.

I don't think they sell bagels over here.

And finally, the ridiculous Bioterrorism Act of 2002 has been amended, and it is now legal to send chocolate into the states.
