the pest

OK, so i did some stuff during the holidays. here is a belated recap.

Question: why do your parents ask you to fill out a christmas wish list? so they know what not to get you?

But i did get a stain defender shirt, which now means i have a completely waterproof outfit, which makes me feel like a superhero. I also got a shaker of Red Robin seasoning salt - now THAT is a gift. probably the world's best seasoning - can be used on anything. Made my day.

And for the new year's weekend i went to budapest, which is a city in Hungary. Loved it. When I got back, my sister asked me which city I liked better, Buda or Pest.

(Huh?)

Apparently there were actually two cities there. You would think I could pick up on these things. But here is my report card from Budapest:

• Girls - gorgeous and friendly
• Beer - delicious
• City - didn't see much of it during daylight hours
• Food - fantastic

Comments about the food: I got to eat with my hands a lot. I ate a dead duck. And I went to McDonald's (just before catching an early flight back home), Burger King (where I met some more Ameircans - fast food places are like embassies, I swear), and TGI Fridays - which despite expansion into Eastern Europe remains terrible. I don't understand this - how does Friday's say in business. Do you know anyone who has ever said "I am in the mood for a good meal/drinks, let's go to Friday's!" Someone explain this to me.

Overall it was awesome, plans for my next excursion behind the iron curtain are in the works. speaking of iron curtain, i got into an altercation with a russian debutante (or hooker, not sure) on saturday, but that is a whole 'nother story...

Shout out to my dog, who is recovering from surgery to remove cancer. Get well soon - don't mind the collar.
